Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: September 24, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the engifix.com website and the services provided by BIOLAB ENGINEERING LLC, doing business as ENGIFIX (“ENGIFIX,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our website or requesting our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Us
ENGIFIX is a registered fictitious name (DBA) of BIOLAB ENGINEERING LLC. ENGIFIX provides residential appliance diagnostic and repair services.
2. Use of Website
Our website is provided for informational purposes and to allow customers to learn about and request our services. You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes and not to misuse, interfere with, or attempt unauthorized access to the website or its systems.
3. Services, Service Call, and Diagnosis
ENGIFIX provides residential appliance diagnostic and repair services. Unless a different amount is disclosed and agreed before service, the standard on-site Service Call is $80.00 and the diagnosis is $0.00 as a separately stated charge.
The Service Call compensates ENGIFIX for dispatching a technician and performing the on-site visit. It remains due when the scheduled visit is performed even if the customer decides not to proceed with a repair, unless ENGIFIX expressly agrees otherwise. The $0 diagnosis line does not mean that the on-site visit is free and does not waive the Service Call.
A diagnosis reflects conditions reasonably observable or determinable at the time of inspection. Appliance faults may be intermittent, multiple, progressive, concealed, or affected by conditions outside the appliance. An initial diagnosis therefore does not guarantee that no additional or different fault exists.
4. Estimates, Quotes, and Authorization
Unless otherwise stated in writing, an ENGIFIX estimate or quote is valid for 15 days from the date issued.
After that period, ENGIFIX may revise or reissue the estimate based on current parts availability, pricing, labor requirements, taxes, or other relevant circumstances. ENGIFIX may also require a new inspection when reasonably necessary because the appliance’s condition, symptoms, usage, installation, surrounding conditions, prior work, or other circumstances may have changed since the original diagnosis. If a new on-site evaluation is reasonably necessary, the then-applicable Service Call may be charged.
The original diagnosis and estimate describe the condition observed or reasonably determined at the time of inspection; they are not a representation that the appliance or its surrounding conditions will remain unchanged afterward.
Chargeable work outside the authorized scope will require additional customer authorization, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to prevent imminent injury or property damage and is permitted by law.
5. Additional or Concealed Conditions
Additional faults or conditions may become apparent during disassembly, repair, testing, or reassembly that could not reasonably be identified during the initial inspection. ENGIFIX will seek customer authorization before performing chargeable additional work outside the approved scope. ENGIFIX may stop work if proceeding would be unsafe, technically inappropriate, or likely to cause damage.
6. Pre-Existing Conditions and External Systems
ENGIFIX is not responsible for pre-existing defects or damage it did not cause, including deterioration, corrosion, leaks, brittle components, prior improper repairs, pest damage, inaccessible components, or defects in electrical, plumbing, gas, ventilation, drainage, cabinetry, flooring, network/Wi-Fi, or other systems outside the appliance.
ENGIFIX will use reasonable care when moving or servicing appliances, but aged, deteriorated, improperly installed, or previously damaged components may not tolerate ordinary diagnostic or repair procedures.
7. Customer Responsibilities and Safe Access
The customer or an authorized adult must provide lawful and reasonably safe access to the appliance and relevant utilities and should disclose known hazards, prior repairs, leaks, electrical issues, pest activity, unusual installation conditions, or other information material to safe service. ENGIFIX may decline, pause, or discontinue work when conditions are unsafe, unlawful, inaccessible, unsanitary, or outside the agreed scope.
8. Parts, Special Orders, and Deposits
Parts availability, manufacturer substitutions, shipping times, and supplier pricing may change.
Parts that are special-order, custom, electrical/electronic, or otherwise designated as non-returnable by the supplier may be non-refundable once ordered. A deposit or down payment specifically allocated to such a part may also become non-refundable once ENGIFIX places the order, provided that this condition was disclosed to the customer before authorization and to the extent permitted by applicable law.
ENGIFIX may require a deposit or down payment before ordering parts or scheduling certain repairs. Any estimate or authorization should identify the applicable amount and any disclosed non-refundable portion. A payment is not treated as non-refundable merely because it is called a deposit; the disclosed purpose, committed costs, these Terms, and applicable law control.
9. Payments
Payment is due as stated on the applicable invoice, estimate, or authorization. ENGIFIX may accept cash, card, Zelle, or other methods it makes available. Applicable taxes and authorized charges may be added as required.
10. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Customers should notify ENGIFIX as soon as reasonably possible when an appointment must be canceled or rescheduled. Cancellation before a technician performs the visit does not by itself create a Service Call charge unless a separate cancellation or no-show fee was clearly disclosed and agreed in advance.
Cancellation after special-order or non-returnable parts have been authorized and ordered may result in loss of the disclosed non-refundable deposit or down payment attributable to those parts, to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms limits a cancellation right that applicable law gives a consumer.
11. One-Year Limited Repair Warranty
Unless different written warranty terms are provided for a particular repair, ENGIFIX provides a one-year limited repair warranty on a replacement part supplied and installed by ENGIFIX as part of the covered repair.
If ENGIFIX determines during the warranty period that the covered ENGIFIX-supplied and installed replacement part has failed under this warranty, ENGIFIX will provide the covered replacement part and the labor reasonably necessary to replace that covered part, subject to these Terms.
A new Service Call, travel, or dispatch charge is not included in this limited repair warranty and may apply to a warranty visit.
The warranty applies only to the covered ENGIFIX-supplied and installed part. It does not automatically cover a different component, a new or unrelated failure, or the appliance as a whole.
Coverage does not apply to the extent a problem results from misuse, abuse, accident, neglect, improper maintenance, pests, corrosion, environmental conditions, power events, external electrical/plumbing/gas/drainage/ventilation problems, unauthorized modification, relocation, improper installation by others, subsequent work or interference by another person, or another cause unrelated to failure of the covered part.
The customer must provide ENGIFIX reasonable access to inspect a claimed covered failure. This limited repair warranty is provided in connection with the underlying repair and is not presented as a separately sold extended service contract or insurance product. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
12. Delays, Safety, and Parts Availability
Appointment times, repair completion dates, and parts delivery dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing. ENGIFIX may decline a repair when required parts are unavailable, the appliance is unsafe or materially deteriorated, repair is not technically reasonable, or required access cannot be provided. ENGIFIX is not responsible for reasonable delays caused by suppliers, carriers, severe weather, emergencies, utility interruptions, or other circumstances outside its reasonable control.
13. Limitation of Responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, ENGIFIX is responsible for direct damage caused by its own failure to exercise reasonable care in performing authorized work. ENGIFIX is not responsible for losses caused by pre-existing conditions, concealed defects, materially inaccurate or incomplete customer information, unauthorized third-party work, or systems and conditions outside ENGIFIX’s reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or limited.

16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable federal law and the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
17. Florida Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive a consumer right that applicable Florida or federal law makes non-waivable. Certain transactions may carry statutory cancellation or disclosure rights depending on how the transaction is initiated and completed. Where a legally required notice or disclosure applies, that notice or disclosure controls over inconsistent language in these Terms.
ENGIFIX’s ordinary service model includes responding to customer requests for specific appliance-repair services. The legal treatment of a particular transaction may nevertheless depend on its facts.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Changes apply prospectively as permitted by law and do not retroactively alter completed transactions where prohibited.
19. Severability and Transaction Documents
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the extent permitted by law. The applicable estimate, work authorization, invoice, service record, written warranty terms, and these Terms may collectively form the agreement concerning the authorized service. Specific written terms on an accepted estimate or authorization control over inconsistent general language in these Terms for that transaction.
