Each symptom can have more than one cause. We confirm the exact fault during the diagnosis, before giving you a price. If you notice a burning smell, unplug the dryer and stop using it. If you smell gas, leave the home and call your gas utility or 911 before calling us.

We test your dryer at your home and show you the cause. You get a written estimate for parts and labor, and you decide. If you decide not to repair it, the visit is all you pay.

What's not included
Commercial equipment
We service residential dryers only, not laundromat or coin-operated machines.
Vent, gas line and electrical work
We don't install new gas lines, circuits or dryer vent runs. Duct cleaning beyond the dryer itself is not included.
Dryer repair questions
Do I pay anything if I decide not to repair my dryer?
Only the $80 in-home visit, which includes the full diagnosis. Nothing else is charged without your approval.
Do you repair gas dryers?
Yes. We repair the dryer itself when it is connected to your existing gas supply. We don't install or modify gas lines.
Can you tell me the price over the phone?
Not before seeing the dryer. No heat, for example, can come from several different parts, so we give a written estimate only after the diagnosis.
Is it worth repairing an older dryer?
It depends on the fault and the price of the part. After the diagnosis you get a written repair price to compare with buying new, and the decision is yours.
What does the warranty cover?
A 1-year limited warranty on parts supplied and installed by ENGIFIX, including the labor to replace a covered part. A new service call is not included.
